Finally got my Kubrick box set back

I was letting a friend borrow it and I was too lazy to go and get it back, haha. Which movie should I watch?

guys… it’s been a while.

I’m sorry :x

favorite kubrick film?

christ I need to post about something…

Well I watched Rob Zombie’s Halloween after like three years… Malcolm McDowell was in it, so it’s good right?

right?

so many followers lol

I really need to get Paths of Glory and The Killing on blu. like right nao.

An unboxing I did of the Stanley Kubrick Blu-Ray collection a while back. God damn my voice has deepened since then.

Not to go off topic from Kubrick, but I don’t know if any of you here listen to deadmau5? He’s a pretty well known progressive house and stuff like that artist. Recently he set up a Tumblr. I asked him a question. AND GOT AN ANSWER!!

So I watched A Serbian Film…

Okay, these are my thoughts. The movie had great acting. Great script. Great cinematography. Great soundtrack (very dubstep-y). After about 30 minutes the film get’s all out fucking crazy.

Now, let me just start out by saying, I like the gory and sick movies. So of course, this one found it’s way to me last year, but I never got the chance to watch it.

From what I had heard, the film made Human Centipede look like something you’d see Disney make. That was absolutely true.

However, I was never really censored so I’m kind of used to seeing fucked up shit. But this film is really the first that really had it all…

Dick mutilation, baby fuck, rigor mortis fucking, all that stuff. Everything I just mentioned really didn’t make me want to turn it off or anything, but one scene did get me a little upset… the baby fuck.

Other than that, it wasn’t a bad movie. If you really can handle the most fucked up shit ever filmed, give it a watch at least once. Unfortunately I watched the cut version, so I plan on getting the uncut one eventually (comes out in the United States on Blu-Ray October 25).

So that’s that.

Kubrick abandoned projects.

Kubrick movies that could’ve been.

First off, and the most famous, the Napoleon film. Kubrick had planned an EPIC film about Napoleon with battles with 5000 extras and it was going to have lots of sex scenes, and it was just going to be fucking awesome. However, there was another film about Napoleon that flopped and all the producers pulled out.

The others were not so famous, but have been documented down and stuff like that. Another one Kubrick had planned to do was The Burning Secret and Natural Child which was about a young baron who tries to seduce a young Jewish woman by befriending her son. But, the film was never made because of the MPAA’s production code.

Another Kubrick film that was never made was of course the one about the Holocaust. This was to be called Aryan Papers and be about the Holocaust. Kubrick’s purpose of the film was to be a “dramatic structure that compressed the complex and vast information into the story of an individual who represented the essence of this man-made hell.” The main reason Kubrick opted out of making it was because Spielberg had already made a film about the era called Schindler’s List.

Lunatic at Large was a noir film that is apparently being made now.
